CO-WATERS, the Coalition of Waterfront Cities, Regions, and Islands, is hosting an online Needs Assessment Workshop on Wednesday 3 December 2025, 13:30–15:30 CET. Building on insights gathered through our “Co-Create Your Support” survey, the workshop will gather perspectives from waterfront cities (including ports), regions, and islands to co-create the support and services they need to lead the transition to clean, healthy, and resilient water systems.
Why this workshop matters
Waterfront territories face growing challenges from climate change, pollution, and increasing pressures on coastal and freshwater systems. To ensure the CO-WATERS Coalition provides relevant, practical, and tailored support, the workshop invites participants to:
- Share key challenges in managing coastal and freshwater systems
- Discuss the types of support, services, and partnerships they find most useful
- Share their needs on citizen and stakeholder engagement
- Contribute ideas for the upcoming CO-WATERS Label, recognising ambitious blue transition plans
