Privacy Policy

The CO-WATERS project is committed to conducting all project activities responsibly and ethically. This page provides information on how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal data, ensuring compliance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

WHAT IS THE SCOPE OF OUR PRIVACY POLICY?

The CO-WATERS consortium is made up of 17 partners, which are responsible for the treatment of users’ personal data and informs its users that this data will be treated in accordance with the provisions in the regulations in force regarding the protection of personal data (2016 European GDPR regulation).

Therefore, this privacy statement applies to the entire lifespan of information within the CO-WATERS project website, from obtaining information to the final deletion of that information.

As explained further, additional guidelines or procedures are established for specific areas or processes – such as research, interviews, or surveys – within the CO-WATERS project that provides a detailed explanation of the measures that are taken in order to achieve the desired level of data protection.

The CO-WATERS consortium considers it very important to treat the input and contributions from stakeholders as confidential during its activities and in the CO-WATERS public reporting. No personal information will be shared within the CO-WATERS community of stakeholders, nor towards third parties, unless the concerned stakeholders agree.

Below we go further into detail about how personal data is to be treated.

FOR WHAT PURPOSES MAY WE PROCESS YOUR PERSONAL DATA?

The CO-WATERS project collects personal data to the extent required to fulfil a specific purpose. The collected data may be shared with the European Commission and with the project’s consortium for compliance with reporting, monitoring and auditing requirements, but personal information will not be shared, nor sold to third-party marketers. Personal data may be collected and further processed under the CO-WATERS project for the following purposes:

WHICH PERSONAL DATA DO WE COLLECT?

LGI Sustainable Innovation, located in Paris, France, is the consortium partner responsible for managing and coordinating the CO-WATERS project website, Linkedin and Instagram accounts.

The forms available from this website (newsletter subscription, Coalition registration) are operated by third-party services — Brevo (newsletter) and Tally / EU Survey (Coalition registration). The personal data you provide there (such as your name and email address) is processed by those services under their own privacy policies, on behalf of the CO-WATERS project.

The website itself does not run any audience-measurement or advertising tool: we do not collect your IP address, browsing history or device details. Should third-party content (such as embedded videos) be added in the future, it will only load after you give your consent through the cookie settings panel described below. Please note that, as for any website, some technical resources (fonts and script libraries served by content-delivery networks, map tiles) are loaded from third-party servers, which technically receive your IP address in order to deliver those files.
