Applications are closing soon and only a few places remain for the first edition of the CO-WATERS Capacity Building Programme.
Designed for members of the Coalition of cities, regions, islands and ports for the Mission Ocean and Waters, the programme delivered by CO-WATERS provides practical training, peer learning and tailored support to help territories strengthen the skills needed to advance their sustainable blue transition.
Whether you are preparing a Transition Plan, strengthening stakeholder engagement, or looking to improve your knowledge of sustainable finance, the programme offers practical tools that can be directly applied to your local context.
Four online trainings running from September 2026 to May 2027
Participants can apply to one or more of the following online modules:
- Systems Thinking Fundamentals (September–October 2026): understand how systems thinking can support integrated decision-making and territorial transformation.
- Multi-actor Co-creation Processes (October–December 2026): learn practical approaches for designing collaborative processes with diverse stakeholders.
- Facilitation Skills for Stakeholder Engagement (January–February 2027): strengthen your ability to lead participatory processes and meaningful dialogue.
- Technical Skills: Sustainable Finance (March–May 2027): explore financing approaches that can support the implementation of your transition ambitions.
Each training combines expert guidance, peer learning and hands-on exercises based on participants' own territorial challenges. Participants will also benefit from dedicated online support spaces and, where relevant, tailored mentoring.
Each module requires approximately 8–15 hours of participation spread over 4–6 weeks.
